Ten minutes’ drive from Brisbane CBD, St Stephen’s Anglican Church is a vibrant, growing evangelical congregation, with a passion to see people encounter Christ and mature in discipleship. We aim to empower, train and send people locally, nationally and globally in mission.
St Stephen’s has experienced substantial growth in its youth ministry over recent years. We are seeking a Youth Ministry Leader who has a desire to oversee and continue to expand this area of ministry for our young people. This role is fundamental in supporting, nurturing and engaging the youth who are already a part of our parish, and motivating and inspiring them to grow in their knowledge of the Christian faith and in following Jesus.
Ideally this position would commence as soon as possible in 2017. We are open to discussing full-time or part-time hours with interested candidates.
Personal and Professional Requirements
As our Youth Ministry Leader, you will be a self-motivated leader, possessing effective relational skills with students, parents, and staff. You will come with:
We encourage both ordained and non-ordained people to apply. You will lead and organise effective youth programs, implementing fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism, with mission opportunities.
You must hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Qualifications in Youth Work, Counselling or related field are desirable. You must also be a confirmed communicant member of the Anglican Church of Australia, or be willing to be received into the Anglican Church.
