About the Position

Sunnybank Anglican Early Childhood Centre is a 3-room early learning service catering to 50 children aged 15mths to school age. Our service is located opposite the Sunnybank State School giving it a busy and strong community base. We are seeking a full time Centre Director to manage our team of dedicated early childhood staff.   The position requires a positive, motivated and experienced leader with strong management skills and a passion for establishing community links.

 

About You

With a strong background in Early Childhood and a genuine commitment to community, our successful candidate will offer the following skills, experience and capabilities:

  • Previous experience in a directorship within an early childhood service
  • Solid understanding of National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework and demonstrated experience with implementation
  • Proven background in successfully leading, mentoring and managing a team, including recruitment and onboarding, training and upskilling, and ongoing progress management
  • Knowledge of assessment and rating and the ability to guide staff through this process
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including children and their families, team members and both internal & external stakeholders
  • An aptitude for being proactive and ability to work within a committee environment
  • The ability to speak Mandarin or effectively engage and support an ESL community would be highly beneficial

Qualifications required include:

  • Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood or a Diploma level qualification in Children’s Services
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to acquire
