About the Position

With the aim of the whole Church engaged in Mission, the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ) serves the community through its five commissions and provides much needed services for parishes, schools, theological education, financial services, residential aged care facilities, and community care and social service programs through Anglicare SQ.

The purpose of the Anglican Schools Commission is to provide strategic direction and policy development to, and monitoring of, Anglican schools of the ACSQ. This collaborative and engaged team now require the support of a full time Administration Assistant to provide high quality support to the management and staff, including organising incoming and outgoing communications, office supply stock control, archiving, data entry, answering phone calls, event & project support and meeting preparation duties.

 

About You

With a proven background in administration, and office support your organisational and time management with be of the highest level. Further skills will include:

  • Assistance in general administration including typing of reports, documentation and presentation
  • Relief reception, meeting and greeting, answering telephones and electronic correspondence with a polite and professional attitude
  • Operational office duties that include sorting and distributing mail, manual and electronic filing, photocopying, and ordering stationery and office supplies
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional alpha-numeric data entry skills and a typing speed of min 50 wpm
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload and communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Confidence to work in a high-pressure environment, with multiple deadlines, and maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy

This role will require a dedicated, passionate and highly competent professional. You will engage with a wide range of people in a mature manner, with a consistent focus on supporting and advocating the reputation of ACSQ.  A National Police Certificate and current Blue Card (Working with Children) are required for this role.
