Service Desk Analyst - Full Time / Fixed Term

About the Position

The Anglican Church Southern Queensland provides much needed services for the community, including parishes, schools, theological education and financial services, and residential aged care facilities, community care and social service programs through Anglicare SQ.

All services within Anglican Church Southern Queensland are strengthened by our ICT team who support over 2500 users across 75 sites and are currently looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join their dedicated team based in Brisbane’s CBD in a fixed term role until January 2017.  The position offers full time hours, however we would also be interested in applicants who wish to job-share part time. Please specify your preferred days/hours in your application.

The overall purpose of the Service Desk Analyst is to provide first level help-desk IT support to all organisational business units, and act as the first point of contact for user issues. The role is also responsible for logging, documenting and tracking IT issues, and complying with organisational policies and procedures.

 

About You

Our successful candidate will offer several years’ experience in a Help Desk environment, within a service industry and will have skills covering:

  • Proficiency in responding to issues in a timely, professional and polite manner
  • Ability to prioritise and escalate issues based on critical need
  • Demonstrated skills in documentation, logging jobs and monitoring resolutions
  • Analysis and trouble-shooting of regular trends and the ability to provide effective solutions

Along with your exceptional communication skills, the following attributes will also support your success:

  • A passion for technology and a keen interest in the ICT sector
  • Friendly and engaging telephone manner with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable corresponding across a number of mediums, with all levels of staff and management
  • An enthusiastic, positive and energetic approach to your work, including team engagement
  • Time management skills and the ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
  • Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills

You will be required to hold a current National Police Certificate and an unrestricted, Queensland Drivers Licence. A relevant ICT qualification would be favourably considered.
