Communications Specialist - Full Time / Fixed Term

About the Position

Based in Brisbane’s CBD, our close-knit Communications team prides themselves on productivity, collaboration and flexibility. We work together to drive the strategic direction for the Anglican Church Southern Queensland incorporating community services, schools, parishes and corporate services.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Communications Specialist to join us on a fixed term contract - assisting the Anglican Church repertoire of brands, including Anglican schools and Anglicare Southern Queensland - our highly reputed non-profit service.

The role will be full time, for a period of three months, and we require an immediate start.

 

About You

Your background in communications and public relations will include the following skills and experience:

  • Exceptional writing skills and confidence with media releases, briefing documents, marketing collateral, and corporate messaging
  • Understanding of digital communication processes, including social media and websites
  • Project & time management abilities and a confidence to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A great eye for detail - ensuring all language and design are consistent and within advised parameters

As part of a small, collaborative team, it is essential that you are able to use your initiative, and offer:

  • Demonstrated values and ethos that are in-line with both the organisation and the team
  • A positive attitude, team-focus approach and genuine care for the work you are doing
  • Consistent and effective support of the Director of Communications, and the organisation as a whole
  • A friendly, professional disposition and the ability to engage a variety of internal and external stakeholders

You will be required to hold a National Police Certificate.
