System Engineer - Full Time / Fixed Term

About the Position

All services within the Anglican Church Southern QLD are strengthened by our ICT team who support over 2500 users across 75 sites and are currently looking for a full time, fixed term System Engineer to join their dedicated team based in Brisbane’s CBD.

This role will be a mixture of project work and BAU support, based on Microsoft, Citrix and VMware stack.  We require an immediate start for a period of 12 months.

 

About You

Offering extensive experience as a System Engineer, and the ability to deliver high-quality ICT services, your background, skills and capabilities will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and management of ICT system projects and solutions
  • Expertise in enterprise virtualization, storage, backup and database solutions
  • Proven ability to problem solve and trouble shoot ICT infrastructure support issues
  • Previous experience working within a project environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and problem solve
  • A focus on being part of a team while managing an individual work load and using initiative to prioritise
  • Remain calm and focused when working within strict timeframes and deadlines

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) qualification
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant Technology discipline
  • Industry certification including ITIL, VSphere, Citrix, AWS or Azure would be highly beneficial
  • A current Queensland Drivers Licence
  • A National Police Certificate
  • Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded
